Joanna May's debut album Here's My Cup is a recording of prophetic songs spontaneously composed during devotional worship sessions in the IHOP-KC Prayer Room. These 6 long-play tracks weave together simple piano-based melodies with violin (Susanna Erwin), flute (Luke Hendrickson) and acoustic guitar stylings (Isaac Meyer) creating an anointed atmosphere for meditation and dialogue with Jesus.

Right from the beginning with "What Do You Think About Me?" Joanna articulates the cry to know the Lord's affections, even in the midst of weakness. The heart of the Lord is seen in "You Will Know Me," a promise that 'My sheep will hear my voice, and I will be found by you.' The symphonic swells crescendo to "Humble," with a full band, and transition to the simplicity of piano and vocals on "Looking at My Heart." Spontaneous songs, prayers, and singing in the spirit form an album that is a true resource for times of soaking in the presence of the Lord.

This is one of the BEST cd I have listened to in a long time. From the singing, to the lyrics, to the background instrumental. This cd is amazing!!! I had listened to Joanna on the web in the prayer room on a few occasions, but was not that familiar with her. She is a very gifted singer! Buy this cd you won't be disappointed. I just purchased 10 cd of Here's My Cup to pass out to people at my church. I can't decide which song is my favorite, they are all that good! I think " Like an Ocean" is incredible, as well as "Here is my Cup." Can't wait for the next one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
